HALA has many different clubs and organizations where students can learn how to work with others and become leaders. There are organizations such as:

PSAL Sports
HALA believes a student's talent should not be stuck in the classroom only. Therefore, HALA gives the students opportunity to explore their talents via different organizations and sports team. Students in HALA can join many different sports teams for Jamaica Campus. Some of these sports are:

BOYS
 Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Fencing, Football,  Golf, Lacrosse, Outdoor Track, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, Wrestling

GIRLS:
 Basketball, Bowling,  Cross Country,  Fencing, Indoor/Outdoor Track, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Volleyball 

Additional Information 

The teachers are also open to new ideas for clubs. If a group of students are interested in a club that the school does not have, they can bring it up to any teacher and they will help the student form that club. 

Not only does these activities look good for the student's college resume, it also makes the school a fun place to be in. HALA's goal is to make every student feel at home. 

Student Council holds Teen Night and Multicultural day each year to bring everyone together. Multicultural day is a way to appreciate the diversity our school has.

National Honor Society offers multiple students a scholarship each year.
